Shoulder problems are often seen at Life and Care Chiropractic.  Symptoms may present as soreness, aches, burning, tension, and stiffness in the shoulder / shoulder girdle.  The likelihood of shoulder injury is high as this is the most unstable joint in the body yet the most moveable joint and due to this instability the chance of joint injury occurring is a lot higher.

Shoulder pain may arise in the joint, muscles, ligaments or tendons which surround it.  Certain diseases within the body (such as gallbladder, liver or heart disease, or disease of the neck) and neck dysfunction can refer to the shoulder causing pain.  Other causes include poor posture, pinched nerves, ‘wear and tear’ (osteoarthritis) in the shoulder joints, impingement syndrome, fractured collar bone/humerus, rotator cuff disease and adhesive capsulitis (Frozen shoulder).  Frozen shoulder is a painful condition limiting shoulder range of motion.  It can take 18-24 months to get better without intervention.
