Chiropractic treatment mainly involves safe, often gentle, specific spinal manipulation to free joints in the spine or other areas of the body that are not moving properly. We use a variety of techniques including manipulation, dry needling, different soft tissue methods, instrument assisted massage plus many more.
Although chiropractors are best known for treating back and neck pain, which they do very well, patients also consult chiropractors regarding a range of other related conditions.

Life and Care Chiropractic treats people of varying age and occupations across Leeds and Bradford. The chiropractor treats back pain, neck pain, headaches originating from the neck (cervicogenic), migraines, shoulder pain/dysfunction, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, hip osteoarthritis related pain, knee osteoarthritis related pain, minor sports injuries and many others.
Due to Covid-19 the Free non- obligatory assessment is a brief 10 minute phone only consultation with the chiropractor to assess if you are suitable for chiropractic.
What to expect
Full Medical History
The chiropractor will ask a series of questions related to your current complaint and medical history. This will include questions on pain area, lifestyle, posture, family medical history etc. This will help determine the diagnosis of your condition.
If chiropractic is not for you then you will be referred to the most appropriate healthcare professional.
Examination
We carry out a thorough examination (chiropractic, orthopaedic and neurological assessment) concentrating on the neuromuscular system (nerves, muscles and joints) in order to form a diagnosis. Gowns are available.
Report of findings
The Report of Findings will involve a thorough explanation of the condition the patient has come in with and an explanation of the test results. The diagnosis will be explained and how long it will take to treat. Models, x-rays (if taken) maybe be used. A tailored treatment plan involving exercises will be advised. You will also be referred to another professional if your case is not suitable for chiropractic.
Treatments
Your chiropractor will use a wide variety of techniques including chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue techniques, dry needling, instrument assisted massage and more.
